Affiliation with the LCRCC
The VCWA became an affiliate of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of
Commerce on October 1st, 2009. The LCRCC is the largest business organization in the state and is in its
ninety-ninth year of operation. It exists to ensure that businesses can
thrive in ever more competitive state, national and international
environments.
"Our affiliation with the Chamber enables the VCWA to continue its mission
of promoting international understanding within a stable and non-political
environment"; said Al Voegele, Chair of the VCWA Board. "We look forward to
engaging with business, academic and community leaders as we face the
complex issues of globalization within the context of a changing
international political landscape."
"The VCWA retains its own profile, board and non-profit status," said
Tom Torti, President of the LCRCC. "This affiliation deepens the leadership
and educational offerings the LCRCC can provide its members. It is equally
important to underscore that the Council's academic relationship with Saint
Michael's College, which has for several years provided an intellectual and
academic home, will only be enhanced."
"Saint Michael's very much appreciates the quality and breadth of discussion
that VCWA has brought to the campus. We have valued, and will continue in
the future, to value the unique international perspective afforded our
faculty, staff and students by the VCWA," said Dr. John J. Neuhauser,
President of Saint Michael's College.
The VCWA has a new logo and a new address, but its commitment to quality
programs remains unchanged. Our address is:
