International Day of Peace 2021

As we look into the future and consider our role in creating a better world, we are excited to announce the Vermont Council on World Affairs International Day of Peace all-day event on

 Tuesday, September 21

Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, the International Day of Peace represents a globally shared day for all humanity to commit to building a culture of peace in communities around the world.

This year, the VCWA is excited to mark the 2021 International Day of Peace with a full day of programming focused on this vital topic. This all-day event will feature sessions around international peace, including a panel discussion, book talk, and interactive workshop. The day will culminate with an evening reception featuring a keynote address and an award ceremony recognizing vital work in the field of peace-building.
