Speaker Series
The VCWA’s Speaker Series aims to foster the appreciation for and practice of diversity through civil discourse in order to make a difference in the world. We do this through partnering with NGOs, corporations, government agencies and individuals to arrange timely discussions on critical international topics. Ambassador Series
The VCWA has a proud tradition of welcoming distinguished diplomats, who come to Vermont to exchange views on issues of international importance. as the leading foreign-affairs non-profit organization in the state, the Vermont Council on World Affairs seeks support for this unique program. Great Decisions
The Great Decisions Program is designed by the Foreign Policy Association (FPA) to provide guidelines for starting, leading, and promoting Great Decisions discussion groups in communities across the United States. Learn more about the Great Decision program here.
Global Leadership Program
Our Global Leadership Program is a professional development and global engagement program that seeks to connect professionals across Vermont with topics, policymakers, and ideas of global significance. Participants gain a deeper understanding of global issues and leadership skills, better positioning themselves and their businesses to support Vermont communities in addressing global challenges.
Global Talk Local Taste
Our networking and community events provide people from all over the world – and people right here – hundreds of opportunities for learning and connection. Our community includes professionals in every field, including government, business, media, education, science, and the arts; young people; and citizen diplomats. Person of the Year
The Vermont Council on World Affairs celebrates leaders recognized locally and globally. 2021 marked our twelfth Annual Person of the Year Event honoring Lida Nadery Hedayat.
