U.S. Foreign Policy Decision-Making

From March 22 - 24, the VCWA virtually hosted 4 participants from Bahrain, Bangladesh, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates. The delegation met with representatives from the Vermont Department of Economic Development and the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC) to discuss building cross-border partnerships through international trade and refugee resettlement in rural communities across the United States.


Social Entrepreneurship in the United States

On March 23, the VCWA virtually hosted 6 participants from Australia, Israel, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The delegation met with representatives from the Chill Foundation of Burton Snowboards to discuss efforts to address issues facing youth through board sports, recreational activities, and skills development.


Emerging Leaders: Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development

On March 28, the VCWA virtually hosted 6 participants from Angola, Brazil, Guinea-Bissau, and Mozambique. The delegation met with representatives from Community Capital of Vermont and Milk Money Vermont to discuss supporting disadvantaged and underserved entrepreneurs to reduce barriers to capital and transform communities through nontraditional funding.
