Share a Virtual Meal with Exchange Students from Africa

PAYLP2.jpeg

The Vermont Council on World Affairs is currently recruiting Vermonters interested in virtually meeting with Pan-African Youth Leadership Program (PAYLP) exchange students to share about life in Vermont and learn more about life in francophone Africa. The program will run during the month of August 2021 and virtual home hospitality hosts will have the opportunity to connect with their exchange students 3-4 times throughout the program. If you are interested in virtually connecting with a PAYLP participant, please fill out this brief interest form to express your interest and availability in connecting with our youth programs this summer.

Please find some suggested virtual homestay activities below. Please note this list is not exhaustive, as similar to the in-person program, this is meant to be a “choose your own adventure” experience and left up to the host family and participant to decide on discussion topics and activities.

  • Virtually connect over a meal, discuss/share recipes

  • Share favorite activities to do in your city/state

  • Discuss favorite holidays/cultural activities
