This project leverages America’s strengths through an exploration of U.S. laws, policies, and programs to develop local economies through strengthened tourism around cultural assets and to protect cultural heritage from looting, smuggling, and trafficking. Participants will examine strategic U.S. approaches to cultural and historic assets with a focus on marketing, infrastructure development, educational outreach, research and conservation techniques, funding mechanisms, law enforcement strategies, public private partnerships, and economic considerations. The participants will discover how U.S. institutions approach showcasing the culture, history, and narratives of the United States.
