This project will examine U.S. national security educational infrastructure with an emphasis on military education and professional development of military and related cadres. Participants will examine the preparation of leaders who develop national security strategies to evaluate, marshal, and manage resources in the execution of that strategy. Discussions will highlight public and private military education; recruitment for military careers; and the critical connections, for the protection of territorial integrity, between military academies and the branches of the military and other law enforcement entities. Participants will examine government support of academies, the curriculum shaping process, and the institutions that support a military career and national defense.
