Strengthening Cybersecurity Policy Implementation in Public-Private Partnerships

  • Vermont Council on World Affairs Burlington VT 05401 USA (map)

This project promotes U.S. economic and national security interests by exploring how public-private partnerships enhance security priorities and safeguard critical infrastructure and personal data. Participants responsible for formulating cybersecurity policies will examine how cybersecurity policy is implemented in the United States and learn strategies to mitigate risks to personal data and national security. Meetings and site visits will showcase how U.S. public and private sector organizations share information and conduct joint investigations, while also learning approaches to strengthening cybersecurity through increased investment, stricter penalties, improved data breach reporting, and broader education for companies and the public. The project will also promote opportunities to enhance international cooperation and strengthen partnerships with the United States to both foster innovation as well as to combat cyber threats and decrease cybercrime.
