Academic World Quest

Now virtual!

Academic World Quest (AWQ) is the flagship youth education program of the World Affairs Councils of America. It is a team game testing high school students’ knowledge of international affairs. In the game, four-person teams compete by answering multiple-choice and fill-in the blank questions divided into ten unique and engaging thematic categories.

Details

Registration for the 2021 AWQ competition is now open and will close on February 4, 2021. The Practice Match will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 2-3pm and the VCWA AWQ Championship Match will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 2-5pm EST. This competition will be held via Wonder.me (similar to ZOOM).

High Schools that are members of the VCWA may nominate as many teams as they would like at no cost. The cost for non-member Schools is $250 per team.
