This project will explore U.S. defense and civilian oversight within the American defense sector. In Vermont, the visitors will meet military and civilian leaders, alongside civil administrators. Furthermore, the visitors will attend meetings with the Vermont National Guard to learn how the state handles civilian governance over defense, while also discussing national security with the Vermont Department of Homeland Security.
